4 and 5 October at 16:00 in the Bavo in Haarlem

Information:
This grand finale to our jubilee year marks the world premiere of an entirely new musical work: Bavo Cantate – A Vocal Monument to the Bavo. It is a unique musical narrative in which the Bavo Cathedral comes fully alive through sound, storytelling, and history
With a libretto by writer Don Duyns, inspired by Haarlem’s local legends and figures, and music composed by Oene van Geel, the Bavo finds its voice in a completely new way. The music is brought to life by the young choir Consort023-vocaal, conducted by Michel Poels, and enriched by soloists, the renowned Müller-organ, and the alto viola.
Let yourself be carried away by the voices of figures such as Harry Mulisch, Mozart, Arthur van Schendel, and Frans Hals, who together form a colorful procession through Haarlem’s history.
Don’t miss this musical monument to the Bavo!
