Johanna Soller is one of the rising stars of Baroque music. De Volkskrant praised her charisma and attention to textual expression; the Netherlands Bach Society appointed her as its artistic director; and the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra managed to secure her for this year’s performance of the St. Matthew Passion. “It’s music that encompasses every conceivable emotion,” says Soller, “and I want to make them all audible.”
